Make a lovely nightlight or patio light using an LED and jam jar. Beginners can learn to make a simple LED curcuit, then advance to multi-colored LEDs or animate multiple LEDs designs using a pre-programmed microcontroller. For a challenge, students can learn to power their jar using a solar panel.

Some soldering will be required, all materials will be provided and are included in the ticket price. Attendees are encouraged to bring alternate enclosures such as latched jars, ping pong balls or any other object which is transparent and you can place a light into!
